I guess the iPod mini was a success, as Apple decided to shrink it down even more! And why stop there? They also just shrunk the iMac.
But what has me really excited is this:

Finally! The latest version of iPhoto has hierarchical folders! Now I can actually organize things properly… Anyone know if this will be a free upgrade?
Feaverish says:
I don’t think it’s gonna be a free upgrade, but the student/teacher version is probably only $40-$50. The same thing happened to me last year with iLife ‘04: anticipation (at the announcement), disappointment (at the not-being-a-free-upgrade-ed-ness), and finally a comfortable emotional repose (at realizing I’m dating a teacher and can get those great discounts).

Yeah, I just checked the site, and no free upgrade for me…
Oh, and another feature request I have for iPhoto is this: to be able to import images to my library without making a copy of the file into the program’s physical library—in other words, like how in iTunes I can add a song to my library but am able to keep the actual .MP3 file anywhere I want on my harddrive.

Yes! Thank you for posting this! I’m sooo going out and buying one of those iPod Shuffles!!!
Eva says:
I was already overwhelmed by the choice in iPods! Adding more types of iPods is bad for indecisive people like me.
And my mother thinks an iPod is a type of cell-phone; how is she ever going to keep up with things if they keep updating! Stop progression!!

Another thing I hope they “fix” is the unneccesary copying of photos everytime something is changed or edited. Even if you double click a photo to edit it in Photoshop, iPhoto makes a copy! In the meantime, iPhoto Diet cleans out the duplicates, but it’d be nice if it wasn’t needed in the first place
