For all the times that I see my fonts used without payment, I still never underestimate the kindess of people who send me a little note, like the above inscription from Lynn Johnston’s latest For Better or For Worse collection: Striking A Chord, which uses my font Girls are Weird on the cover. Such penmanship! Such puns! (punmanship?) A woman after my own heart!

Eeeee! I love “For Better or For Worse”! And I love your “Girls are Weird” font! And I love puns! (There are at least three in there!) And I also and above all love that you got a proper thank you!
No, seriously, things like this are a major karma-boost just reading about it. This is definately “for better”, and not “for worse”.

when i was a kid i secretly thought that the family in “for better or for worse” was my ontario relatives that i had never met because a) they had kids the right age, b) the appropriate family members had glasses, and c) ‘johnston’ is a family name. alas, when april was born, i had to admit that they weren’t really the same people, because i did not gain a little cousin at the same time.
