More on TTC Maps (or: Beating a Dead Horse)

A bit late in mentioning this, but did any Torontonians notice this ad for Memorial University on the subway recently?

So the TTC, using the rationale that my Anagram TTC map, available only online from this website, might confuse and disorient non-English speakers, threatens me with legal action. But they’ll allow this on the trains themselves?

Coughdouble$tandardcough.

That being said, I got a chuckle when Eva pointed out that a Google search for TTC Map shows my Warmer Soupy Butt in the top image results.

(Thanks to Joe Clark for the photo!)

Needless to say, as a non-English speaker I was mighty disoriented when I found the anagrammed map! I’m still wandering around the city—lost, cold, frightened, hungry—even at this very moment. It’s dreadful.
But thanks to this informative post I now know that I need to turn a left at Social Work and Career Development. Phew!

Why couch it like that? Just say it:

$$$!

I like your map better.

Dear John Martz,

You’re still at Butler’s Pantry… probably. But I didn’t know you made this anagram map (or at least I didnt know who you were when I first read it). Reading it was seriously a highlight of my year.

Also: Happy birthday.
